MBZUAI leadership met with a delegation of executive management from AIQ, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) that was launched as a joint venture with Group 42 (G42). The AIQ delegation included Omar Al Marzooqi, CEO; Mohamed Ahmed Al Mehairi, CFO; Abed Benaichouche, CTO; Ahmad Salem, SVP Commercial & Business Development; Magdalena Konig, General Counsel. The delegation was given a tour of MBZUAI’s campus before proceeding to the Visitor’s Center, where they were updated about MBZUAI’s goals, milestones, and ongoing activities.

MBZUAI President, Professor Eric Xing participated in a panel discussion at GITEX/AI-Everything, the Middle East’s flagship technology conference. The panel discussion, titled: "Creating a Bolder Digital Future Together," focused on the future of artificial intelligence (AI), a need for further developing ethical guidelines to govern AI, and the overall impact of AI on human society. Joining Xing on the panel were renowned MIT Professor, AI scientist, and member of the MBZUAI Board of Trustees, Daniela Rus, and Dr. Seth Dobrin, Global Chief AI Officer at IBM.
