Professor Ling Shao becomes IEEE Fellow

The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), the world’s first graduate-level, research-based artificial intelligence (AI) university is pleased to announce that Prof. Ling Shao, Executive Vice President and Provost of the University and CEO and Chief Scientist of the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IIAI),  has been elected an IEEE Fellow for his distinguished contributions to computer vision and representation learning.

The prestigious IEEE Fellowship is a distinction given to select IEEE members whose accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed to be fitting of the prestigious grade elevation. The distinction is considered one of the highest accolades in the field of computer science and AI, and is awarded based on a rigorous selection process. IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
