Research Interests

Professor Ober's teaching and research interests span physical chemistry, specifically high-resolution spectroscopy, kinetics, and reaction dynamics, applied to metrology development and problems in planetary science.

Prior to joining MBZUAI, Professor Ober worked at Marathon Fusion as a research engineer, helping to develop instrumentation for technology supporting the nuclear fusion fuel cycle. Previously he served as a post-doc and graduate student in the Okumura lab at California Institute of Technology.
