Research Interests

Professor Jasra’s teaching and research interests span the areas of statistics and applied probability, specifically Markov chains, Bayesian modeling, stochastic simulation and machine learning.

Prior to joining MBZUAI, Professor Jasra was a Professor of Data Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He was formerly Associate Dean and Professor of Applied Mathematics at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and formerly Associate Professor of Statistics at National University of Singapore.
