AI for Art, Culture and Heritage: History, Trends, Opportunities and Possible Impacts

Dr. James She is a university professor and media artist. He is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar. His research interests are focusing on artificial intelligence and multimedia technologies for art, media, culture and human creativity. He is the Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. on Multimedia and ACM Trans. on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications. His recent artworks are mainly on the uses of AI and digital technologies for the cultural or heritage content in Arabic regions. In 2020-2021, he was a visiting artist-in-residency at Fire Station Museum, Qatar Museums. His previous artworks were exhibited in Qatar, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, China and various other countries.
