Research Interests

Fabio Pizzati's teaching and research interests span generative AI, in particular on applications of large-scale diffusion models. He mainly works on video generation, with an emphasis on controllability and the physical realism of outputs. He is also interested in AI safety for visual generation, covering aspects such as unlearning for generative models and deepfake detection. Email

Prior to joining MBZUAI, Fabio Pizzati was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, where he worked for around two years under the supervision of Philip Torr. Before that, he was a Ph.D. student at Inria Paris, working with Raoul de Charette.
