Italian delegation meets with MBZUAI leadership to discuss potential collaborations

His Excellency Nicola Lener, the Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, and Professor Ida Zilio-Grandi, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi, met with Dr. Behjat Al Yousuf, Executive Vice President for Outreach and Engagement and Acting Chief Operating Officer at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), to discuss the potential for collaboration between the University and universities in Italy.

During the meeting, H.E. Lener commented on the opportunities that MBZUAI offers to students from around the world. He stated his keenness to raise awareness of the university amongst Italian students, so that they could apply for the scholarships offered by MBZUAI.

On behalf of the university, Dr. Al Yousuf emphasized the importance of not only future partnerships with Italian educational institutes, but of welcoming Italian students to the world’s first university for postgraduate studies specialized in artificial intelligence research.
