Message from His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Special Envoy for Climate Change, and Chairman of the MBZUAI Board of Trustees

AI is reshaping the world as we know it. Despite being a relatively new technology, it has already enabled humanity to achieve breakthroughs that impact our daily lives, as well as the way governments and businesses function.

AI-driven transformation has the potential to generate 133 million new employment roles globally, as well as contributing significantly to economies and societal development. The years to come will bring even more exciting solutions that draw upon the power of AI.

It is our privilege to usher in this smarter digital era through MBZUAI, the world’s first graduate level, research-based AI university. The university is an open invitation from Abu Dhabi to the world to unleash AI’s extraordinary potential.

Our purpose is to empower students, businesses, and governments to advance artificial intelligence as a global force for positive progress. In addition to being a world-class educational institution, we intend for MBZUAI to become a global advocate for the use of AI as force for good.
