Business Intelligence Specialist

Job Purpose

To plan and coordinate business intelligence activities to develop and promote a business intelligence and knowledge management framework to support informed decision making within the university. To plan and coordinate business intelligence activities to develop and promote a business intelligence and knowledge management framework to support informed decision making within the university. 

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the building and development of the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem through education, support of research and development and innovation AI projects in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
•    Support the development of a robust framework through the optimization of the Research & Development activities to ensure optimal support and progress in the Artificial Intelligence sector in the UAE.
•    Support the development and maintenance of a knowledge management framework to ensure the sharing knowledge and cross functional business intelligence across the University organizational units.
•    Identify and implement innovative methodologies and tools to support the University’s informed decision making.
•    Identify and suggest research methodologies, tools and technologies to support the fulfilment of the University’s requirements.
•    Conduct qualitative and quantitative Business Intelligence/Innovation related assessments, research and studies in conjunction with the respective Organizational Units and any relevant external stakeholders and research service providers.
•    Coordinate with the University’s Organizational Units for the development of related research and knowledge management plans.
•    Provide the required support to the Marketing & Communications section in the identification of the relevant engagement and partnership stakeholders locally and internationally.
•    Provide the required support to the University’s departments in specific research, analysis and business intelligence related requirements.
•    Assist with building partnerships with local and international institutions to build Artificial Intelligence capabilities in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications section.
•    Collect and consolidate Artificial Intelligence related data from the relevant public and private sector organizations locally and internationally – wherever applicable.
•    Monitor the Abu Dhabi and UAE Artificial Intelligence landscape and public perception about the University in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications section.
•    Disseminate white papers, research and business intelligence reports & findings to the Faculty Affairs, Marketing & Communications section & the respective Organizational Units in addition to the relevant external stakeholders.
•    Ensure continuous improvement across all services of the Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance function.
•    Undertake any other related duties as assigned by line manager.

•    Implement the plans to ensure seamless operations that facilitate the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives.
•    Provide data in a timely manner and support in preparing reports to the management and recommend operational improvements to support in planning, decision making and continuous improvement.
Financial & Organizational Management
•    Implement corrective action as necessary and in line with the approved governance process to ensure complete adherence to section budget and highlight any deviation from the plan in a timely manner.
•    Provide budget inputs to formulate section budget and submit for approval and further consolidation.
Stakeholder Management 
•    Coordinate the collaboration with and engagement of relevant internal stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of programs and objectives in line with the section’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent. A master’s degree will be preferable  
  •     4-6 years of experience.
